Our NEW Grass Roots Program
We are very excited to announce that from this coming season 2025-26 Taunton Youth will be transforming our community run Monday Juniors program into Taunton Youth Grass Roots!
Our Grass Roots football is aimed at boys and girls with mixed ability, it is open to all!
We will be starting with the youngest age group of Under 7s and Under 8s and entering these teams into a local grass roots league. Depending upon the interest received both from players and volunteers older age groups will be also considered.
This new initiative has been born because of the number of children who attend our Monday Juniors that cannot find a club . We feel that we can adapt our current offering to enable more football for more children.
Is that the end of Monday Juniors?
NO! Don't worry, Monday Juniors will still exist to provide football for those who wish to continue, at the same time and the same place. However, rather than it being term based parents can subscribe to the program
making admin and booking much easier for everyone.
Do I need to book onto Monday Juniors for Term time football still?
The existing booking portal will be used for holidays camps only after this current term. More information will be provided on how to continue to Monday Juniors or how to get signed up onto our new Grass Roots program.
The first step is to sign up to one, two or all three of our open sessions in April and May using the Register now link below.
What will it cost?
The Trust will confirm this in due course, but rest assured that the grass roots cost will be aligned with other grass roots clubs in the area and those just attending Monday Juniors will work out roughly the same as it does now over the course of a year.
How do I get signed up?
We are going to run three FREE and open sessions on Monday 28th April, 12th May and 19th May at Bishop Fox's School, 5:30pm - 7:00pm for anyone to come along and find out what it's all about.
The three FREE sessions is for those both interested in our Grass Roots teams and those who might like to just sign up to our Monday night sessions.

Taunton Youth FC Community Trust
The purpose of Taunton Youth FC Community Trust is to advance amateur sport and promote community participation in healthy recreation through the provision of sports coaching and access to facilities for football players aged 4-18 who live in and around Taunton.
Any child of qualifying age, regardless of footballing ability, is welcome to come and train with us (subject to club capacity).
The programme was granted Charitable Status in January 2019, The charity number is 1181212.
Taunton Youth FC Community Trust was awarded The FA Standard Charter in April 2020.
We became an FA Accredited Club in April 2021.
